The Australian National Audit Office has published its Audit Report on the Green Loans Program.

The program was launched in July 2009 but was cancelled in February 2010.

The program involved the provision of “green loans” by which eligible householders could apply to a participating financial institution for an interest‐free green loan of up to $10 000 to fund the purchase and installation of eligible items recommended in their assessment report.

Credit unions were the main participants.
